A Groupon email kicked off the idea to look to the Oregon coast for a Spring Break destination this year.
While we missed the original offer, we ended up finding an amazing place right on the water with an unobstructed view of the surf. We took granny along for the trip, and split the first day in two with an overnighter in Olympia, Washington.
Here’s my dream job:
- I’m paid to take people canoeing every day. For a day, half a day, a week, a month, you name it. Down a river, up an inlet, portage over a mountain, you name it.
- I want to canoe every single day, I don’t really care where (let’s face it, anywhere people want to canoe is generally a pretty nice place to be) and I don’t care for who.
I just want to canoe.
Hey! You found us!
Welcome to Big Yellow Canoe - our passion project to bring our love for canoeing, the outdoors, camping, home and just getting out there and living life to the fullest.
We're building this blog to share our trip reports and our recipes as well as stories to inspire you to try canoeing, get outside and do the things that you love ... every day. Life is short. We'd rather be paddling and hope you'll tag along.
